Claire Beauchamp Randall, a nurse in World War II, is mysteriously transported back in time to Scotland in 1743. There, she meets a dashing Highland warrior and is drawn into an epic rebellion. Moore (the TV series’ creator), her crew decided to keep the Gaelic lyrics rather than translate them into English. This preserved the first-person narrative while showing Claire’s inability to understand Gaelic.

This idea was suggested by producer David Brown, who said he had seen something similar in Skin Deep (1998), a foreign alternative film starring actor and singer Gustavo Goulart. ; An American term that only came into use in the 19th century. The opening theme song changes from season to season to reflect the events of the story. In the first half of the second season (which is set in France), some of the lyrics are in French.

The second half of season two (which is mostly about preparing for war) has a militaristic drum roll added to the opening theme. Season 3 has added tribal drums, as much of the season is set in the West Indies. Season 4 features bluegrass fiddle and banjos, and some of the lyrics are sung in a Southern accent, as the season is set primarily in America. I came to Outlander late and was listening to it

A dear friend who recently died of cancer at a young age told me to watch it, so I did it in his honor. So happy! That’s all! The casting is perfect for the great performances of the gritty plot.

I think this is much more than just a Harlequin romance, and deserves more praise

The locations, the romance, the VERY memorable music, the scenery, the costumes and props, and the attention to historical detail have all left quite an impression on me.

Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 You Should Binge-Watch (2023) I just read that Silo was renewed for another season, so I’m looking forward to seeing where this show goes.

It has those great soundtracks for a reason

This show really is as good as everyone says it is. It currently has an 87% on Rotten Tomatoes from both critics and audiences and an 8.2 here.

This is definitely one of the best new shows of the year

It’s set in a dystopian future where everyone lives in a huge silo hundreds of floors underground. They live there with a bunch of rules that everyone believes are in place to protect them.

With that cast, the great script, and the great visual effects, this is one thriller you can’t miss

It has a star-studded cast led by Rebecca Ferguson and supported by Tim Robbins, Shane McRae, Will Patton, Common, Iain Glen, David Oyelowo, Rashida Jones, and more.
