19th-century widow Eva (Odessa Young) is faced with an impossible choice when a shipwreck off her isolated fishing village in the middle of a particularly brutal winter. Eva and her crew must choose between rescuing the renegades or surviving the winter on their last remaining food. Faced with the consequences of their choices and racked by guilt, the villagers struggle with a growing sense of terror and begin to believe that they are all being punished for their choices.
